September Round Up: Preston Pride and more!

Your local Lib Dem team have been busy all Summer and we aren't showing any signs of slowing down now that the weather is getting cooler! Here are a few of the things we've been up to in September.

Preston Pride

There was a fantastic turn out at Preston Pride on the Flag Market on the 29th September. What a way to end the month! It was fantastic to see crowds of Prestonians enjoying the live entertainment and wandering around the stalls. We were there talking to people about a variety of issues and we were delighted to be joined by the People's Vote campaign as we campaigned on an Exit from Brexit.

If you are interested in finding out more on the Lib Dem campaign for equal rights and representation, or perhaps are interested in joining the LGBT+ Liberal Democrats then you can find out more here.

Mysercough Freshers Fair

The team headed down to Myerscough Colleges Freshers event to talk to students on the 13th September. Who can say no to free brownies and a chat about Brexit? You can find about about the youth and student Liberal Democrat group (Young Liberals) here.

Brighton Conference 2018

Of course for many Liberal Democrats September was all about the Federal Conference in Brighton. Your local Preston & Wyre party  represented and popped down to the South Coast to attend policy debates, some fascinating speeches and of course the Lib Dem pub quiz. The conference was well attended and somehow we managed to squeeze in some really important policy votes in between having fun! You can read more detail about the policies at libdems.org.uk

And finally the team have continued their hard work, knocking on doors, talking to local residents and working on case work. Phew!
