Lib Dems Launch Campaign to Put Crossing on Cadley Causeway

Your Cadley Lib Dem Team have launched a petition to get a pedestrian crossing built on Cadley Causeway. As you know your local Lib Dem councillors and Focus Team have been campaigning for a pedestrian crossing there for many years.

In the immediate vicinity are 3 schools, a park, a church and two lots of sheltered accommodation for pensioners as well bus stops on one of the main routes to the hospital.

We know that there are too many accidents and near misses on this road but we now need to get the funding.

Lancashire County Council has indicated that a crossing near the junction of Cadley Causeway and Mill Lane is under consideration but it is up against other roads in Lancashire.

Councillor John Potter said,

"We’ve now set up an official petition on the LCC website so everyone here can show the strength of feeling in the area for this crossing. For those of you who can’t get online the Focus team and I will also be going round the area with a paper petition over the next few months."
