Sarah Olney is Parliament's newest MP after the Liberal Democrats delivered a crushing blow to a pro-Brexit Tory in the Richmond Park by-election.
Sarah (pictured centre), who worked as an accountant for the National Physical Laboratory before her victory, overturned a majority of 23,000 to deliver one of 2,000 of her own.
Mark Jewell, pictured left, Chairman of Preston & Wyre Liberal Democrats said,
"I was out canvassing in Richmond Park to help Sarah's campaign, and it became clear to me that many traditional Conservative and Labour voters are now switching to back the Liberal Democrats because of their clear, positive message on Brexit and the NHS."
Cllr Neil Darby, Parliamentary Spokesperson said,
"This is a clear message that Theresa May's hard Brexit is not popular with the electorate.
"If Remain won with a similar margin, and we had a "Hard Remain" with adopting the Euro and speaking Esperanto, there would be uproar, and rightly so.
"Any Brexit plan needs to get the people on side - they voted to depart, not for a destination."
Preston and Wyre Liberal Democrats wish Sarah the best of luck in Parliament, and look forward to hearing her maiden speech!
